The Road to the NFL: Jack Corcoran's Draft Blog #2
Written by Jack Corcoran on 02/08/2010
The Super Bowl is here and it provides the perfect backdrop to my training.
I'm still in Atlanta and focused on working out. I didn't do anything extravagant for the Super Bowl. I just hung out with Mike Caussin and DaJuane Collins and watched the game.
I really didn't have a rooting interest in the game. I was just hoping for a good game. I will say, though, that I had more personal connections with the Colts.
There are two Rutgers guys on Indianapolis that I am familiar with: three-technique defensive tackle Eric Foster and linebacker Gary Brackett. It's pretty cool knowing people playing in the big game.
Gary came around Rutgers quite a bit when I was there. He is a very nice guy and it shows a lot about the guy when he gives up his free time to talk to players at his alma-mater.
The game was exciting. Even though I know a couple of guys on the Colts I have no complaints that the Saints won. It was a very compelling game and it took my mind off training for a day. But don't worry, I'll be back at it this week.

Cool, will be following this. Aniway you get other player to do the same?
Yeah we'd love to. We have a few more short prospect interviews coming up. Maybe we'll try and hit up one or two of those guys to do a weekly blog as well!
Jack, you have made some great decisions in your life. Spotting a High School & College that were not unknown but rising to a new level. Then being able to not only spot these programs but having the guts to step in & help lead them to the highest level they have ever seen. That IMO is why you will play in the NFL. If one of the 32 are not smart enough to spot you. I am certain that you will find your team & help them to their highest level.
