Scouting Report
Monroe has great size. He's long with long arms and legs. Super athletic and probably other than Jason Smith the most nimble and agile tackle in the draft. Works the edges really well, sealing off pass rushes with quick feet and very good hand position. Does a really nice job working in space, and this shows best in run blocking where his lack of bulk and power are masked by his smarts and technique. Monroe is a very heady player who always seems to know where to be. Now the bad news. Monroe is a legit injury concern and his durability is absolutely in question. Also, although he's almost a physical clone of Jason Smith, he does not play with the strength Smith does, and gets pushed around more than your franchise LT should. Some of this is just a lack of power, and sometimes he just gets too high, and gives up too much leverage.
Draft Status
With concerns about Michael Oher, and the complete meltdown this offseason of Andre' Smith, Mornoe has firmly planted himself in the no. 2 tackle spot. This means he's in all likelihood a top 5 pick. Teams like Seattle, St. Louis, Kansas City and Oakland are all going to be looking for a tackle, so Monroe can make his way very high into the first round.

Reminds me of: D'Brickashaw Ferguson
Good or bad, Mornoe's game is a lot like the other former UVA tackle. Tall, long athletic nimble, but a little soft. Ferguson is starting to look a little better, but his inability to stop the bull rush has been disappointing. Mornoe's lack of toughness and his injury concerns lead me to believe he could be in a similar boat.
