Let's roll through the Bowls, all 35 of them, in chronological order (maybe). I'm going to lay out who's playing in each one and then make a prediction on who'll win. Yet again I'll point out if I put money on my own predictions my kids would starve. I heartily recommend that you don't base anything financial on my predictions!

Alright football fans, I am going to flip the script a little on what I normally do. No, I will still do a some predicitions sure to go wrong on a few of the big games. But this is a draft site, so instead of breaking down the games, I'm going to break down 5 prospects to watch for the weekend of college football.

When I am scouting linebackers, I normally don’t have a lot of trouble. I have a few groups in mind, I go back and review the games and in my observations will find a few more that are on the fringe but the list typically comes together pretty quickly. This year was much tougher. While there are only a few groups I would consider truly elite, pairing the list down to 10 was much harder than in the past. Lots of really talented players in the country and a lot of young guys who if they play up to their potential have a chance to be great.
In the final analysis, there are really only 3 groups in that elite class to be considered for the top group of linebackers in the nation. These units provide a mix of known top tier talent as well as some young players on the verge of breakout seasons.

Last season we were able to see a near record number of Freshman have impacts on their teams success. This is all well and good but being able to repeat that success and better yet, improve on it, is what will be key. These players have set the bar very high, and here's a player from each conference that I think will push it even further in the 2010 season.

That faux PAC-10 title game against Oregon and Oregon State was epic. An incredible battle between two motivated teams and really was one of the best games of the year filled with amazing games. But last night when we watched BYU manhandle the Beavers, you saw the negative effects of losing such an important game at the end of the season.

Even though there were not epic matchups, this was still an impossibly great weekend of college football. So much to talk about, I reckon I'd better get it started.
The Gators got a gift, mainly from the officials in their squeaker against Mississippi State. What a farce. This is twice this year the Florida Gators have won while being helped by grossly questionable calls from inept SEC officials. First Arkansas, now Mississippi State. We get it, you want Florida to be No. 1. God forbid you let them decide it on the field. No way should Florida be No. 1 at this point. When you need the refs to spot you against these two teams, you aren't the best team in the country.
