This weekend promised big excitement and it delivered. Once again the NCAA rolled out a slate of amazing matchup and incredible performances. Some of the things that stood out to me as I poured over these games all weekend.
In the TCU/Utah game you could just see that every time Utah got a little momentum, TCU just choked it off either with a big play off defense or on offense. In my latest power poll I am going to have a hard time not just being a jerk and putting TCU in the top 2, because honestly, I don't know if there's a team in the nation that could beat them right now.

Even though there were not epic matchups, this was still an impossibly great weekend of college football. So much to talk about, I reckon I'd better get it started.
The Gators got a gift, mainly from the officials in their squeaker against Mississippi State. What a farce. This is twice this year the Florida Gators have won while being helped by grossly questionable calls from inept SEC officials. First Arkansas, now Mississippi State. We get it, you want Florida to be No. 1. God forbid you let them decide it on the field. No way should Florida be No. 1 at this point. When you need the refs to spot you against these two teams, you aren't the best team in the country.

Here’s my lightning fast breakdown of the weekend of college and pro football. Some things great, some things awful but it was another interesting weekend of football!
First in the college ranks:
- Cincinnati is really good. That offense was able to move the ball, even with a backup QB in the game against a stout USF defense. Their schedule is quite favorable so an undefeated finish could be in their future.
