The BCS Run in: Two Weeks to go Edition

And so here we are at the tail end of the season and everything out there is pretty much still to be decided. At least the really big prize anyway. With 2 weeks to go there's still 4 unbeaten teams in contention for the National Championship Game and as of right now, it could be any 2 from 4 (yes really!). So who's got what to come and how much have they got to do to reach College Football Nirvana? Here's the grid:

1. Oregon 2. Auburn 3. TCU

College Football Preview-Week 4

Alright football fans, I am going to flip the script a little on what I normally do.  No, I will still do a some predicitions sure to go wrong on a few of the big games.  But this is a draft site, so instead of breaking down the games, I'm going to break down 5 prospects to watch for the weekend of college football.

College Football Week One Preview

*** Firstly a note from the Editor - My apologies for the late arrival of this article. The Pitt/Utah game is already in the books but we've had some technical issues and we hope to give you a major site announcement very soon as well. A lot's been happening in the background in the run up to Week One but I can promise you we didn't re-write this article. Now over to Curt ***

College football is finally here and thank God. It couldn't come soon enough. This has been the longest offseason. I've had to deal with so much crap. From Lebron James and Tiger Woods to World Cup Soccer and all the whining that is Major League Baseball. Normally I can just tune out all the minutia but this year it was just too much to turn off.

Pre-Season Top 10, er uhm 25ish poll and National Championship Prediction and stuff...

Parity in college football has created two things.  First is a strong push toward a playoff system (which I will talk about in another article), and second it means the importance of the first poll of the year is greater than ever.  Where you start the season is tough to take away from you, if you win, but if you get a crappy draw opening week, how far you can climb is going to be limited.  You all know I don’t ever do a real Pre-Season Top 25, mainly because it’s just not that big of an issue.  Odds are, a team in the first top ten will win the title, so beyond ten, it’s a serious climb to a BCS birth beyond a Conference Title.  So without further ado, my Pre-Season Top Ten, all the rest in whatever order, and my National Championship Prediction sure to go wrong.

2010 Heisman Trophy Watch list

I was going to wait to write this, but I’ve gotten so many inquiries about this, I thought I’d go ahead and toss my 2010 Heisman watch list out there.  These are the 10 guys in no particular order, I am going to really keep an eye on for next season as front runners for the most overrated award in all of sports except NFL Pro Bowl MVP and my 5 super sleepers who won’t get the respect they deserve.

What happend to Oregon State and will it happen to more teams?

That faux PAC-10 title game against Oregon and Oregon State was epic.  An incredible battle between two motivated teams and really was one of the best games of the year filled with amazing games.  But last night when we watched BYU manhandle the Beavers, you saw the negative effects of losing such an important game at the end of the season.

Heisman Trophy Winner-Snap Judgment

First off let me say that I think it's a perfect choice of Mark Ingram for the Heisman Trophy.  Ingram really has been the most outstanding player in the country for the bulk of the season.  Any discussion of how "deserving" he is, must start with how impactful he's been on an Alabama offense with an under-performaing quarterback and group of wide receivers.  Ingram was the focus of that offense for many games, and the opposing teams defenses knew that.  But in the games against the best teams, Ingram shined and had his best games.
