Sunday Mail Sack

Are you excited that the NFL is going to let us watch the All-22 camera from NFL games?

As I wrote earlier in the week, I think the league offering the All-22 footage to fans, even at a charge, is a fabulous idea. Fans will love it, they will learn so much from it, and it will open up the game to them in a whole new light. As for me personally, I touched on it in my article, I won't purchase it. Not because I don't think I'd enjoy it, because I'm sure I would. But this site and what I do is primarily college football-centric. If college football offered it, I'd sell a kidney to pay for it, but I watch the NFL as a fan, and I watch college football as a fantic. I think it's a great idea and fans will love it, but I won't be participating. As a Steelers fan, I don't want to see definitive evidence

Name an NFL team that didnt make the playoffs last year who you think will make it this year.

Put me down for the Philadelphia Eagles. I LOVE what they have done to improve their defense, and I think LeSean McCoy if they'd just let him, could be an MVP candidate. It'll all depend on Mike Vick. If he can stay healthy, and when he's on the field make smart decisions, this would be a tough team to beat. But he has to be better at distributing the football. He's got an All-Pro TE target in Brent Celek and he doesn't use him. If Vick can expand his game and include all those weapons this Eagles team will be the dream team so many touted them to be last year. But for me it all starts on defense where they have really bolstered the front 7 and will allow them to be much more aggressive. This defense can be good enough to make life much easier on the offense.

Does Stanford have a shot to win the PAC-12 without Andrew Luck?

My short answer is no. The longer answer is, teams like Oregon and USC return a much larger portion of their skill players, and are simply too dynamic on offense, even with a Cardinal defense that looks to be very good. I think Stepfan Taylor is a fabulous player. But he's going to find the sledding much tougher with Luck on the field along with Coby Fleener and his two best blockers in Jonathan Martin and David DeCastro. They will need to steal one against either the Ducks or Trojans and I'm just not sure Sophomore Quarterback Brett Nottingham is ready for prime time yet.
